First Class Black Caps Performance?

20Feb11

“It’s just all blown out of proportion, nothing happened … you don’t know what this does to a parent, it’s just absolutely gut-wrenching.” Joanne Southee

The plane taking the Black Caps to the Cricket World Cup a few days ago was considerably more than a mile high when Tim Southee and an aspiring female player took an unscheduled drinks break in the First Class Bar. Any thoughts of a long stay at the crease ceased when he rejoined his team mates in Business Class shortly after.

Don’t know what all the media fuss was about. After a pretty average Black Caps season at least this was a first class performance-just what we’re looking for when the BCs play Kenya tonight in their opening game of the CWC.

We hope Southee and his fellow bowlers are treated with due respect when they get the ball in their hands and that there are no complaints from the fans*.
